We just walked in. Clothes are damp. Does night laundry still take a bag this late, or is it only a morning drop.

Ask. Some night desks still log a bag for the morning run. They will not wash it at this hour. A morning drop is the fallback.

Ours logged it. Same-day back was not promised. That is fine. We have a spare set.
