Railways still have trains beyond Pothuhera delayed after the derailment. We want to watch Day Perahera at 2:18 then leave. Switch to a road hop after it ends, or wait on rail.

Plan the road hop. Do not invent a clearance time for Pothuhera. Watch Day, then take a bus or van south or west while the Northern section stays delayed. Ask the board once more before you buy, then move.

We booked a road seat for after Day. Rail friends were still refreshing the board.

Keep the rail ticket only if the board lists a real time. Otherwise the road is the plan, not a backup story.
