Culturally, Sri Lankan mothers breastfeed publicly but discreetly with a nursing cover. Foreign mothers doing the same is completely fine — no shocked reactions. Modest cover (nursing scarf or sarong) helps. Public parks, restaurants, beaches all OK for discreet nursing.

For private nursing: hotel lobby restrooms, family fitting rooms at Colombo malls, airport nursing rooms (both CMB and HRI have them). Larger private hospitals sometimes have nursing lounges. Most Sri Lankan women will offer help/kindness — culture very pro-mother.
