Go early (before 5:30-6am), stay at a respectful distance, and don't interfere with their work or equipment. Some fishing villages are used to early morning visitors and are friendly if you keep a low profile. Buying fresh fish directly from fishermen (when appropriate) can be a positive interaction. Avoid taking close-up photos without permission, especially of faces. Many fishermen appreciate quiet observers who respect their space and routine. The best approach is to be unobtrusive and leave if anyone seems uncomfortable.

Early morning on less touristy beaches is usually fine. Just be mindful and don't get in the way of their work.
