Covered paid seats win if elders or small kids are with you; the view is narrower but you stay for the whole pass.

We paid for cover last year when it rained and were glad; kids lasted the whole pass instead of begging to leave after the first burst.

Street stand is still the atmosphere if you have rain gear and an exit shop behind you; do not pay twice for a seat you will abandon.
