Need to pass behind a packed row mid-parade to regroup. How without starting a shove. Not crossing through the procession after drums start, and not shoulder-gap shoving at start.

Wait for a breath, say excuse me, and slide sideways behind the row — never cut in front of kids or elders.

If the row will not open, go farther back and loop rather than forcing a wedge.
