Saturday 22 Aug, Point Pedro. Passing cell, shoes the only pair, path already a chute. Pin is the northern-tip road. Partner wants the photo. I want the feet.

A passing cell is not a gazette cancel. Poncho, not umbrella in a crush. Shoes you can dump. Walk if you have grip and the rain has stopped. Pride sprains on slick laterite.

Inner path, closed shoes. Spray edge is how you meet the clinic.

If you sit a table, order. Occupying shade with a bottle you brought is the rude version. Fine.

Harbour board, no promise. We sat the bay instead. Fine.

We took the quieter fork. No one clapped. No gazette.

Muffs on the four-year-old. Ninety minutes. Then tea.

We walked. Fine. The first number at Point Pedro was a test. Then tea.

Show the voucher. A desk is a desk. I will not invent a fee beside it.
