Once the First Randoli crush tightens at start, should the passport photocopy sit in a separate pocket from the wallet. Not morning SIM photocopy errands and not camera-bag security.

Yes — keep a photocopy in a separate zip pocket from the wallet so one loss does not take both. Leave the real passport locked at the hotel unless you truly need it.
