21 Aug, camera bag, phone only, tripod stays packed. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Path and leftover chop; not a secret I will sell. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.

If it is steaming at path, sit. If not, pack fruit and walk to Main Point. Biscuits in the bag anyway. The wait is the hungry part.
