21 Aug, two kids under eight, ear cups in the bag. Path looks like a mud chute. Driver wants a tour number. Day bags, not suitcases.

Pay a short hop if the path is slick and you have a kid. Walk if you have grip and the rain has stopped. Lagoon can still dump a toddler; stay where you stand. Do not pay a tour number for a ten-minute hill. Agree the fare before you sit.

Ask two locals near Polhena lagoon. The first number about lagoon shallows is a test, not a fee I will invent.
