Pedlar bakery chairs versus Dutch Hospital terrace for a 20 Aug leftover-rain sit

Fort, leftover humidity, we want a sit. Dutch Hospital looks dry and priced like Colombo. Pedlar has a queue of locals and plastic chairs. Not trying to be cheap for sport. Trying not to occupy a terrace for a 900-rupee feeling.

Walk two lanes. Dutch Hospital is a pretty courtyard with tourist prices. Nobody is scamming you; they are just pricing for the terrace. A Pedlar bakery bun and tea is the ordinary sit. If you want the courtyard photo, have one drink and leave. Do not camp a four-top for email.

We sat Pedlar, walked through Dutch Hospital after. Fine. One soda on the terrace was enough.

If you sit a table, order. Occupying courtyard shade with water from a bottle you brought is the rude version.

Pride sits two hours on a terrace and then complains the south is expensive. One soda, move.

Matara has the same fork: stand plate versus hotel terrace. Same manners. Order or walk.

Kid melting: pay the soda now. Walk two minutes if they can. Shade is the need, not the brand.
