Nanu Oya is the rail town; Nuwara Eliya is a further hop. Jumpers, extra blanket, seated later. Pedro farm, tourist, still a look In Pedro, the stand in Pedro, water before you sit, agree a number if there is no meter. Meeting pin in writing, not a voice note you cannot hear.
We dumped bags at Nanu Oya thinking it was Nuwara Eliya. It is not. Pedro: jumper, then the hop. Bags change the trade — dump them.
Extra blanket at the desk is ordinary. Observation-car rumours do not beat a reserved ordinary seat. Mist is a wall; skip the viewpoint tax. First light is kinder than noon.
