Coming in from Peradeniya after seven. Procession already on the streets. Aim at a temple-side remaining stretch, or the far end.

Far end. Temple-side is packed once the line has left the gate. Walk a two-way road and take the first thinner curb.

Friends tried temple-side and bounced off tape. Far end had space and we still saw plenty.

If you only have thirty minutes, far end and one special pass. Do not tour for a perfect temple view.
