Pettah bakery counter charged the midnight +10 on a 450g loaf at opening — tourist tax or the association bump
31 Aug, Monday, Pettah lane just after shutters. We wanted one 450g loaf for the Fort hop. Counter added ten rupees and pointed at a handwritten slip. Partner thinks it is a tourist tax because we have backpacks. Ordinary bags, not a flour lecture. I just want to know if midnight actually flipped the loaf.

It is the association +10 from midnight 31 Aug on the 450g loaf, not a Pettah tourist tax. Pay the loaf, walk. Nobody is closing bakeries. Do not turn a counter slip into a flour-price thread. If the slip matches the loaf weight, it is the bump.
We paid it at 6:40, same slip as the man in a shirt ahead of us. Fine. Pride arguing ten rupees in a lane wastes the Fort board.
If they add a 'service' on top of the +10, walk two shops. The bump itself is real this morning.
