Checked out of a Colombo room at noon. Pettah is on the way to the stand. Stop for a rice shop, or keep moving with the bags and eat later.

Stop if the bags are already at a hold or in a tuk. A Pettah rice shop at lunch is the right plate. Do not drag hard cases through the lanes. Eat, then the stand.

We left the bags at the hotel desk, walked over, ate, went back. The stand was still filling when we got there.

If the bags are on you, keep moving. A rice shop with two cases in the doorway is a bad lunch. Bun at the stand is enough.
