Phone at about five percent with the night clearly not over. One WhatsApp to the hotel then brick it, or keep a dying maps tab open. Not battery near fifteen percent with vendor charge, not battery plus stream at the curb, and not a battery-swap cabinet hunt.

Send one short WhatsApp with your landmark and plan, then brick everything except maybe a single offline note of the hotel name. At five percent, dying maps often die mid-turn. Navigate by memorised outer roads and drums rather than gambling the last bar.

If you still need a ride, walk to a lit hotel lobby and borrow a charge or desk phone rather than standing in the crush at one percent.
