If the phone dies completely before the parade finishes — pre-agree a named hotel pillar as the only meet point, or is that how people wait alone too long. Not phone at five percent then brick, not crush-split WhatsApp lamp-post, and not snack peel regroup.

Pre-agree one lit hotel pillar or lobby sofa as the only meet if phones die — and a clock time to stop waiting and ask the desk. Waiting alone too long on a dark curb is the failure mode. Write the plan on paper in a pocket before battery hits zero.
