Phone overheating on the curb with the camera roll open. Switch to airplane photo bursts, or put it away and just watch. Not battery plus live stream, not phone torch etiquette, and not night-mode photo debates from the afternoon.

Put it away for a few segments and just watch — an overheating phone mid-parade is how you lose maps later. If you must shoot, airplane bursts for thirty seconds then pocket it to cool.

Shade the phone against your shirt between shots — sun on glass cooks it faster.
