Photographing daily life respectfully without being intrusive or creepy?
I want authentic street and daily life photos. How do I do this without making people uncomfortable?

The key is being open and respectful rather than sneaky. A smile and quick gesture asking permission goes a long way. Many people are happy to be photographed if you show genuine interest and offer to share the photo. Using a smaller, less intimidating camera can help. Shooting from a respectful distance with a longer lens is often less intrusive than getting very close. Being a regular presence in an area (rather than a quick visitor) also makes people more comfortable. If someone seems uncomfortable, respect that immediately and move on.
Building a tiny bit of rapport first often leads to better and more comfortable photos anyway.
