Landing late, going to Point Pedro. I can follow a pin. What do locals actually do?

Night to Point Pedro: pin, live driver, written fare if it is a tuk. Prebooked cars are a hotel product. I will not invent a night timetable.

PickMe from CMB was ordinary. We did not bargain on the kerb. That was the whole trick.

If you are tired, stay near the bus stand or town centre in Point Pedro and skip the extra viewpoint. Pull cash in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle first. Cards are a maybe, not a plan.
