Pink sapphire vs blue sapphire which holds value better as a Ceylon gem souvenir

Three Ceylon sapphire categories for buyers. (1) Classic Ceylon BLUE: the most internationally recognised and resaleable, fine cornflower-blue 1ct unheated certified runs roughly 800-2000 USD depending on saturation, clarity and cut. The market is deep, easy to value, and demand is steady globally. (2) PINK sapphire: less common, very pretty, but the market is narrower than blue, so resale can be slower; 1ct unheated pink certified runs 400-1200 USD. (3) PADPARADSCHA (the rare pinkish-orange "lotus blossom"): exceptionally rare and arguably the most prestigious Ceylon gem; a true unheated certified 1ct can run 3000-8000 USD or much more if exceptional. Investment-wise, blue and padparadscha hold or grow value most reliably; pink is a beautiful personal piece but appreciates slower. ALL purchases: insist on NGJA-registered dealer, independent lab certificate (GIA, NGJA, Gübelin, SSEF), and the tourist invoice for VAT-free export.
Blue for value, padparadscha if I splurge. Unheated only, NGJA-registered, tourist invoice. Thank you so much.
Heated vs unheated matters enormously. Unheated stones command 2-3x the price of heated equivalents because they are rarer. ALWAYS get this on the cert.
If you actually plan to wear it daily, sapphire (9 on Mohs hardness scale) is among the toughest gems, second only to diamond. Excellent ring stone regardless of colour.
