Molagoda village near Kegalle is the classic Sri Lankan pottery village — many family workshops, traditional wheel + wood-fired kiln techniques, terracotta clay pots and figurines. Also Wewaldeniya and Kelaniya area workshops. Half-day visit, workshops sometimes let visitors try the wheel.

Buying: prices are wholesale-cheap at source — a fine hand-thrown pot for 500-2000 LKR. Bulky to transport — buy smaller pieces or arrange shipping if serious. Village demonstrations often free with tip; hands-on workshops 1500-3000 LKR.
