Not a nomad fantasy. One call from Pottuvil. Fine or need a bigger town cafe?

Pottuvil guesthouses vary. Ask about backup power before you book if the call matters. A cafe in a bigger town is the real backup — don't rely on one router.

Call slipped once when the power blinked. Did the next one from a busier town cafe. Lesson learned.

If you're tired, stay nearer the bus stand / town centre in Pottuvil and skip chasing a perfect sunset. Pull cash in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle first — cards are a maybe. Locals will tell you if a ticket is counter-only.
