Proposing in Sri Lanka in March. Somewhere romantic that isn't Instagram cliche?

Not doing Nine Arch bridge lol. Want something meaningful, quiet, actually beautiful. Have some budget.

Some ideas that aren't overshot: (1) Sunset at Lipton's Seat, Haputale - private, cold, panoramic view over the plains to the ocean. Small group of visitors, no crowd. (2) Private dinner on the beach at Cape Weligama - the resort sets up on the sand, no other tables. (3) Sunrise at Adam's Peak summit if you're up for the challenge and it's peak season. (4) Ceylon Tea Trails private bungalow deck at dusk. Skip the obvious Nine Arch/Sigiriya crowd photos. Pick something quiet.

^ Cape Weligama beach dinner is the classic elevated proposal spot. They do this often, staff are discreet, sunset views, private. Book ahead as 'sunset beach dinner for two' and mention it's a special occasion. They'll handle. About $200 for the setup + dinner + one bottle wine.
