Discreet public breastfeeding with a nursing cover/scarf is completely acceptable and common among Sri Lankan mothers. In parks, beaches, cafes, restaurants — no shocked reactions. Foreign mothers doing same welcomed.

For more privacy: quiet corners of hotel lobbies, larger malls' family rooms, beach umbrellas. Older women often offer help/support. Cultural norm is 'discreet but present' — cover is standard, but not full seclusion required.

Nursing scarf + public normalcy. Thanks!
