Take the longer shop verandahs; the puddled alley fills shoes and you still have to stand at 6:53.

Walk the verandahs; we tried the alley this morning and both shoes filled. The extra four minutes are cheaper than wet socks at the stand.

If you must cut through, step on the shop thresholds not the crown of the puddle, and keep a spare sock zip ready.
