Plaque at Sigiriya, a damp morning, kid already done with stones. I want them to see it without a lecture or a selfie. 26 Aug.

Five quiet minutes if they will stand. Skip if they will not. This is a memory, not a ride. Voices down. No posing on the plaque. Ice cream later is ordinary. A speech is not.

We stood three minutes and left. Fine.

Pride turns a plaque into a history exam and then a tantrum.

If they cannot stand, skip. Kindness is the point.

We skipped, walked the lake loop. Fine.

Hats off if that is the local habit. Ask, do not guess loud.
