Raja Veediya looks thinner than the lake - cut through there to the hotel or leftover wall
Queen's / lake is still a human river. We peeked Raja Veediya and it looks like people walking one way, not a wall. Hotel is past that. Cut through Raja Veediya now or is that the leftover crush wearing a quieter street.

Raja Veediya often empties sooner than the lake wall because it is not the postcard kerb. "Thinner" is not "empty." Walk it if you can see pavement. If you still see tape or a one-way crowd with no gaps, stay inland one block.
We did Raja Veediya at 9.20 last night and it was walking pace. The lake was still a shuffle. That is the split.
Loop is Dalada → Katugodalla / Senanayake → Raja Veediya → Maligawa. They unwind street by street. A thinner Raja Veediya is plausible. Do not cut through a remaining tape line to save two minutes.
