Ratnapura, not Kandy. Fan died after a wet evening. Ask them to run the generator, or sleep without.

Ask once, politely. Many guesthouses will run a generator for an hour. Sleeping without on a wet humid night is the fallback, not the first ask.

If they say no, a wet cloth on the wrists and the window on a latch. Do not argue at the desk.
