Reception just offered a Saturday gallery from the desk - real KMC seat or the same WhatsApp hustle at 9.50
We are checking in late. Reception slid a phone across: Saturday 5th Kumbal, hotel gallery, pay cash, "better than the kerb." Official KMC how-to was a different week. Sunday QR from the pavement was the other couple. This is the desk, tonight, for tomorrow.

Last year's fake-guide seat hustle is why extra Tourist Police exist. A phone gallery is not a printed KMC ticket. If it is not a receipt you can read, it is a WhatsApp seat. Say no. 081 22 33 333 if the desk becomes a hostage situation.
A hotel that actually has a window on the route will tell you the room number, not a gallery on a phone. 5th Kumbal is still the same 1.27 km. A kerb you walk to at 4-5pm is free and honest. No invented seat price.
We paid a "gallery" in 2025 and stood behind a pillar. Never again. Kerb further back.
