Rekawa (near Tangalle) has year-round nesting but peak season is April-October - up to 8 sea turtle species visit including green, olive ridley, hawksbill, leatherback, loggerhead. October is late peak - still very good sighting rates. Turtle Conservation Project (TCP) runs guided evening walks (7pm-11pm, wait times variable). Cost 1500-2000 LKR per person - contributes directly to nest protection. Sightings not guaranteed (natural process) but 70-80% chance of seeing at least one nesting during a 2-3 hour walk in season.

October perfect. Adopting a nest.

Also: adopt-a-nest for USD 30-50 - certificate and updates on your nest's hatch success. Combines seeing the nesting with meaningful support. Rekawa is genuine conservation, unlike Kosgoda 'hatcheries'.
