One of us surfs, one of us does not. Rent a board, or watch with coffee because August is a maybe?

Watch first. If it looks like a wave you actually want, rent for a short window, not a full-day pride hire. Write the deposit you are asked; I will not invent a fee. If it is a wash, coffee is the honest pin. The non-surfer does not need a lesson in leftover glare.
