Renting a small camper van or van for a road trip - is it possible?
I want the freedom of a camper for a couple of weeks. Are there camper van rentals in Sri Lanka?

Camper van rentals are still quite limited in Sri Lanka compared to some countries. There are a few companies offering converted vans or small campers, mostly aimed at the overland/camping crowd. Availability is low and prices are relatively high. Most travelers find it easier and more practical to use a mix of guesthouses and occasional camping rather than a full camper van. If you're set on it, book well in advance and check recent reviews carefully for the condition of the vehicle and support.
I looked into it and it seemed more complicated than just staying in guesthouses. Maybe next trip.
