21 Aug, camera bag, phone only, tripod stays packed. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Ordinary south; sit if the stones are wet. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.

Elder move: plate, shade, then decide. Aluthgama river mouth will still be there. Shade before pride.

Kids: leave when they melt. Pride turns river mouth into a timetable.

Screenshot a meeting pin at Bentota because inland data dies. The blob tower is not a plan.
