Yes! Hike to Kithal Ella falls. It is a smaller, secluded cascade set deep in the jungle right off the railway tracks on the way to Ella Rock. The pools are calm and perfectly safe for a dip during the dry season. You will likely have the entire place to yourself, away from the massive crowds and danger of Ravana.

Always check the water color. If it looks brown and muddy, do not swim anywhere, as rain is washing down from the hills.

There is also a lovely natural rock pool on the way down from Ella Rock where hikers stop to splash their faces. Very safe.
