Yes. The Ceylon Motor Yacht Club and small sailing operators run Beira Lake sailing programs. Dinghy (Optimist, Laser) taster sessions 4000-8000 LKR per hour with instructor. Full learn-to-sail courses over 3-5 days available. Wind is variable and gusty (city lake) — good for learning boat handling.

For serious sailing, coastal sailing charters run from Negombo and Trincomalee (small cruising yachts, half-day and full-day). Trincomalee inner harbor is ideal calm-water sailing. Bring sunscreen; equipment provided.
