21 Aug, camera bag, phone only, tripod stays packed. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Weekday is quieter; leftover swell is still the sea. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.
