Saturday 22 Aug, Pidurangala. Dambulla cave, shoulders out, stall scarf see-through in the sun. Partner wants the photo. I want the feet. If Sigiriya village is kinder, say so.

Cover legs and shoulders, shoes off inside. Street is mixed. Skip if you have nothing to cover with. No drone, no flash at a conserved platform. A wrap from the stall is fine; a see-through beach sarong is not. Do not make the doorway a fitting room.

Locals stay where they can stand. Pride argues with a pole and then buys a plaster.

We peeled before the return. The crush after the last drummers is when people get stupid. Named the fare.
