Van is a statue. Batticaloa lagoon junction. Three of us, one tired wants to bail. 26 Aug. I do not know if walking is faster or just hotter.

Walk the last stretch to Panama road if you can see it and the bags are light. Sit tea if the crawl is the whole town. School hour is ordinary. Do not invent a 26 Aug shutdown. Do not shout at the driver. He is in the same statue.

We walked eight minutes, beat the van. Fine. Van caught up at tea.

Kids: sit. Bailing into traffic with a child is a mood.

Pride hops out, gets lost, calls the driver from a side street.

If bags are heavy, sit. Heat plus luggage is a clinic.

We sat. It moved. Ordinary Sri Lanka. Fine.

Do not pay a 'shortcut' that is a worse lane.

Water. Patience. Not a speech.
