I have a licence at home. Is renting around Deniyaya actually a good idea or should I stick to buses?

Hills around Deniyaya plus rain plus night is how people end up in a clinic. Licence, helmet, photo of the bike. If you are unsure, bus.

We rented one afternoon and walked it back before dark. Not worth it in rain. Buses were slower and fine.

If you are tired, stay near the bus stand or town centre in Deniyaya and skip the extra viewpoint. Pull cash in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle first. Cards are a maybe, not a plan.
