Seasonal sandbar migration inside Hiriketiya Bay: left point break vs beginner beach peaks?

Hiriketiya is an enclosed horseshoe bay that handles shifting seasonal sand profiles. During the southwest monsoon (May to September), heavy swells push sand into the western corner, creating a steeper, faster peeling left along the rocky point that breaks over shallow urchin-covered rock. During the winter high season (December to March), sand shifts back toward the center of the bay, mellowing the point into a longboard shoulder while creating soft, peeling sandbar peaks inside the beach arena suitable for beginners.
