Buy now if you already decided on a paid seat. Lunch-hour open is the window. Eat after. Coming back after a long plate is how you find a thinner row or a closed shutter again.

We bought, then ate. The stall was still open after but the better chairs were gone. Glad we had not sat down first.

If you are happy standing, skip the stall and eat. A lunch-hour buy is only worth it if you already wanted the seat.
