Mostly yes. Seat61's route descriptions are still accurate. Schedules shift - always cross-check with railway.gov.lk before booking, but the general train class info, booking mechanics, and route notes are correct. Best supplement: 12Go Asia for actual current schedules and booking, but Seat61 for context and 'what's this journey like'. The two together = fully covered.

^ agree. One 2026 change: Observation Saloon now bookable up to 90 days ahead (was 30). Book early for scenic runs. Otherwise Seat61's advice holds.
