Need to send a chunk SL to India. Someone mentioned Indian Overseas Bank channels. Any traveler actually got IOB working without a full local-account maze.

IOB / India remittance paths exist but paperwork is real. Expect branch visits and ID checks - not a tourist app tap.

If you only need one transfer, a licensed exchange plus bank draft can be less pain than opening anything new. Ask two banks the same question.

Do not hand cash to a Facebook middleman who claims IOB shortcuts. Slow official beats vanished funds.
