Shared cardboard or thin mat locals put down for late standing. Polite to step onto an offered corner, or stay on bare paving only. Not a plastic stool fee, not our own foldable stool, and not a doorway lean share.

If they clearly offer a corner with a smile, stepping on briefly is polite — thank them, keep shoes clean of mud, and do not sprawl. If nobody invites you, stay on bare paving. There is no official mat fee to invent; this is neighbor courtesy only.

For an elderly parent, an offered corner is kinder than forcing bare paving.
