Get out on Gopallawa or the station-side two-way road. Do not let the van hunt the lake or the hotel gate.

We got out early and walked. The van that stayed in the queue delivered people after the stretch we wanted.

Bags on your lap before the last town so you can hop out fast. A roof-rack delay at a tape is the worst version.
