Shirt soaked through from humidity and standing heat this late. Change in a hotel lobby restroom mid-parade, or just wear the damp and stay put. Not wet socks, not grit in shoes, and not a light layer prep question.

If the hotel is a short known walk and one adult can hold the curb pin, a quick dry shirt change is worth it. Otherwise wear the damp, loosen the collar, and sip sealed water — leaving the ring for fashion often costs the denser stretch. Pack one spare tee next time.
