Worried about losing shoes at the temple counter mid-morning. Any practical tips. Not modest long-skirt buy, and not hotel-sarong dress-code thread.

Use the official shoe area, keep the token safe, photograph the stall number if it helps you, and do not leave valuables in the shoes. A cheap shoe bag in your day pack is a backup some travelers like.
