I know you have to take off shoes, but can I keep socks on? Or is that disrespectful?

Socks are perfectly acceptable and honestly recommended to avoid hot stone burns. Just ensure they are clean. It is absolutely NOT disrespectful.

Just don't wear bright neon colors if you want to be conservative, stick to plain white or gray.

I just carry a pair of dedicated "temple socks" in my bag that I don't mind getting dirty.
