Can we do a short hill-country day trip out of Kandy and still be back before Second Randoli at 7:00 PM. Not Sigiriya same-day return before First Randoli afternoon planning, and not early hotel checkout versus staying until the street thins from a prior batch.

Keep it short and nearby — do not gamble on a far hill run with festival traffic returning. Build a hard turnaround time and a driver who understands the 7:00 PM start. If the day runs late, abort sightseeing rather than miss the procession you stayed for.
